BLAST US Expansion: New York Office Opens as Esports Giant Plans Major 2025 Events
BLAST US Expansion – In a significant move marking its deepening commitment to North America, Danish esports tournament organiser BLAST has officially opened a new office in New York City, cementing its presence in the United States.

According to BLAST, the New York office will serve as the company’s North American hub, acting as a launchpad for an ambitious calendar of events and collaborations throughout 2025. The decision signals a strategic push to grow its brand and audience base in one of the world’s largest esports markets.
Five US Events Planned for 2025
As part of its BLAST US expansion, the organiser has confirmed five events set to take place across the country this year. Among the highlights is a Counter-Strike 2 Major in Austin, Texas, and the much-anticipated Fortnite Pro-Am event in Los Angeles, California.
This expansion comes as BLAST continues to scale globally. Speaking about the move, Leo Matlock, Chief Business Officer at BLAST, said:
“We’ve been deeply committed to the growth of esports in the US for six years, hosting some of our most iconic live events here since 2019. Establishing a permanent hub here is a natural next step and also a powerful indicator of our long-term investment in the market.”
A Focus on Content and Creators
In addition to live events, BLAST’s US strategy involves collaborating with American content creators. The goal is to develop original digital content and offer live event opportunities for influencers and streamers—an approach that further integrates BLAST into the fabric of the US esports ecosystem.

A Global Year for BLAST
The BLAST US expansion follows a period of rapid global growth for the organiser. In April 2025, BLAST entered the Indian market through a partnership with RISE, a sports and entertainment company owned by Reliance Industries.
Later this year, BLAST will return to Austin to host its second Counter-Strike 2 Major, where 32 teams from around the world will compete for a share of a $1.25 million (~£939,462) prize pool. Meanwhile, other major titles under BLAST’s banner, such as Fortnite (FNCS) and Rocket League (RLCS), will conclude their 2025 seasons with global finals in Lyon, France.
What’s Next for BLAST?
With established operations now in Europe, North America, and India, BLAST appears poised for continued global expansion. The addition of a US office is more than just a physical presence—it’s a signal of long-term ambition and investment in the region. With half the year still ahead, many in the industry will be watching to see if BLAST adds even more regions to its growing footprint before 2025 ends.
